Supporting NZ Causes and Communities
Building meaningful partnerships
These causes include supporting women into safety and work, opening doors for young New Zealanders, creating opportunities for people with disabilities, and putting investment returns to work against modern slavery through the Amova Freedom Fund.
Amova Freedom Fund
Investors can fund freedom
The Amova Freedom Fund supports work to abolish modern slavery and human trafficking. It allows you to invest in a fund that donates all the returns and fees to Tearfund.
Tearfund partners with organisations to fight the modern slavery and human trafficking battle on many fronts – protecting, educating, empowering the most vulnerable – all while catching and prosecuting criminals and working with governments to bring down trafficking rings.
Battling modern day slavery
In forced labour - 27.6 million people
In forced marriages - 22 million people
Children in the 50+ million - 25%
Trafficked victim average age - 12
In Asia Pacific - 55% (15.1 million) and 41% of global rates of exploitation and child labour respectively
Over 93K (NZD) donated
The Freedom Fund distributes a donation to Tearfund every month made up of the management fee charged to the fund and returns above the invested capital. The first distribution, in October 2021, was just $13, and now the average monthly gift is $1,727. As of May 2026, total giving from the fund is $93,885 – and counting.
Investors in the Freedom Fund do not receive a financial return, but your money does more than grow. The fund is structured so that investor capital is preserved and accessible, while all returns flow to the cause.

Here's what they had to say
At First Foundation, partnerships with organisations like Amova are vital to our mission - enabling us to provide financially deserving, high-potential young New Zealanders with the wraparound support, mentoring, and opportunities they need to succeed in tertiary education and beyond. Together, we are not only sponsoring students but helping to break cycles of disadvantage and empower future generations to create lasting change in their families and communities.
Abilities Group
Fulfilling jobs for people with disabilities – powered by recycling
Empowering people through meaningful work
Abilities employs people with disabilities alongside able-bodied staff to create an inclusive working environment. More than a job, the model creates self-worth, broadens abilities, and breaks down barriers. The Amova New Zealand team’s help to Abilities has started out with financial support.
We are proud to support this mahi.
Here's what they had to say
At Abilities Group, support from partners like Amova has been incredibly valuable in helping us recover from the fire last year. Their support has helped us replace essential equipment and sustain our recycling operations. Contributions like these enable us to keep delivering meaningful employment and training opportunities for people with disabilities in our community.
Special Children’s Christmas party
Giving special kiwi kids the time of their lives
Making moments that matter
It’s easy to get involved and sponsor an event so more children can be invited. Corporate sponsorship packages can be found on the website, and your contribution will be publicly recognised. We are proud to be a silver sponsor of the Special Children's Christmas Party.
Here's what they had to say
Our purpose is to provide a special day out for approximately 2,000 children & families in our community who are often overlooked.
The children are nominated to attend by local Schools, Charities and Community Organisations that work with children aged 13 and under who are struggling with an illness, impairment, victims of abuse and other underprivileged circumstances.
Our goal is simple: To give them a chance to create positive memories in what has been a turbulent year for them and, at the end of the day of food, rides and activities, they each receive 3 brand new, age and ability appropriate toys to take home!
We would just like to extend an enormous thank you to Amova for being a major sponsor of the Auckland Special Children's Christmas. Being able to run this day is a real highlight and we simply would not be able to have as many local nominated families and children attend our day without the generous support we receive from Community-minded businesses like Amova.
Women's Refuge and Dress for Success Auckland
Supporting women in need
Forging pathways to safety and independence
Women’s Refuge supports women and children seeking shelter from domestic and family violence. The work that Women's Refuge does goes far beyond keeping people safe in the short term. The nationwide organisation’s wide-ranging support, education, research, and advocacy is about helping mothers, children, and whānau find a way forward.
Our annual contribution typically equates to 300 safe nights for a woman and her children at risk of family violence, giving them access to a safe bed, hot meals, security, and advice.
Equipping women for success
Dress for Success Auckland empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help women to thrive in work and in life.
As well as a meaningful donation, our team gets involved through donating clothes, donation drives, and volunteering at sales events. We are quietly proud of helping to change the lives of women in the greater Auckland region.
Here's what they had to say
Partnerships with organisations like Amova are vital to the work we do at Dress for Success Auckland. Amova’s ongoing support enables us to equip and empower women with the confidence, skills, and practical resources they need to re‑enter the workforce and achieve economic independence.
